The Gilliland Historical Resource Center has collaborated with the SBCP Library for their display about Jimmy Cleveland, renowned jazz trombonist from Wartrace, TN. Cleveland played for many of the greats such as Billie Holiday, James Brown, and Ray Charles. He also produced four solo records. His distinct style is highly regarded within the jazz genre. A historical marker for Cleveland was created by Tennessee Music Pathways in Wartrace in 2023.
